...And the M's Catch a Break!

I would like to personally say thanks to Angel's center fielder Torii Hunter for his missed catch in center field to end the game today.  The funny thing about that play was that he had sunglasses on and was also shielding the sun with his glove and he still lost the ball in the sun.  Interesting.  Big Carlos Peguero came through for the M's in the bottom of the ninth hitting that towering fly ball and scoring Jack Cust on the dropped ball.  This game was reminiscent of the 2-1 loss that the Mariner's had two nights ago against the Twins, except this time the M's came out victorious.  Doug Fister was solid giving up just 6 hits and one earned run over 8 innings of work.  His only mistake was a four-bagger given up to Howie Kendrick in the top of the fourth inning.  The M's, however, failed to give Fister the run support needed to notch another win for him.  They only recorded five hits which kind of makes sense considering the caliber of pitching they were up against today.  Apparently, Dan Haren had a no-no going until the fifth inning when the Mariners decided it was time to hit the ball.  Once again they are on a winning streak but if they want to continue having success I think they need to figure out what they need to do to produce more runs.  And that is why I am Sleepless Over Seattle.
